Dear Friends!

The second Russian “Health or Tobacco” Forum will be held in Moscow on May, 25 – 26, 2009. This forum will be conducted by the Russian State Duma (Parliament), the Russian Academy of Medical Sciences, World Health Organization, the US National Cancer Institute and N.N. Blokhin Cancer Research Center etc.

This is the second time Moscow will host an event of such a scale, with estimated 1 500 leading experts in medicine, prominent politicians, leaders of non-governmental organizations and all those, who are concerned about the health of the Russian people. The forum will be focused on political, legislative and scientific issues of the tobacco related problems in Russia, as well as the problem of implementation of the FCTC – Framework Convention for Tobacco Control.

Leaders in tobacco control from different parts of the world will take part in the forum and present their experience. Moreover, there will be active participation from the administration of the President of the Russian Federation, the Russian State Duma, the Federation Council, the Public Chamber along with prominent scientists, politicians, famous athletes, businessmen from all over the country.
